Kaity's Getting Married!

My niece Kaity got engaged several months ago and will be having a photo shoot very soon and using some of the photos for her "Save The Date" cards. She asked if I could make a sign for them to hold in some of the photos based on an idea she saw elsewhere. I'm happy to report I made the signs and sent them off to her - - and she was happy with them! I thought I would share them here along with an engagement card I made for Kaity and Adam (her fiance'). The photos I am uploading today were taken with my cell phone. If I am not happy with how they look after posting them on the blog.... I'll repost later with photos from my camera if they seem to look better! Let me know what you think! I can't wait to see how Kaity and Adam use them in the photo shoot! They are such a cute couple! To get a better view, just click on a photo and it will enlarge. Thanks for visiting!

The New Cricut Craft Room!

I am participating in the Cricut Craft Room pre-launch Blog Hop! WECOME!!

I'm sure most faithful Cricut users have heard about the new and exciting Cricut Craft Room (CCR) that is going to make it's debute in Late April. I am really excited to get to play with it. I love using my Gyspy to design projects, and the flexibility of designing anywhere. But I am so looking forward to having the computer screen that is larger to work with! It sounds as though the CCR will have some new features that we can not do with the Gyspy....so that is exciting!
Thanks for stopping by... please take a look around! Let me know your thoughts!

Spring Is Here???

We are finally having a beautiful day here in Centerville, Ohio! I was surprised to arrive home today and find my little tree in front of my house in full bloom! I love this little tree when it blooms in the Spring! I just had to share my excitement that the weather is perfect (right now...but in Ohio, that can change in a minute!) and the trees and flowers are starting to bloom! Enjoy your weekend!

A First Anniversary Card

It is hard to believe that a year ago my sweet niece Jessica (I call her my "first daughter" and she calls me her "other mother"!) and her husband Bobby were joined in marriage! I had to make a special card to honor the occassion.

Her wedding colors were shades of blue (which is incredibly funny to her "real" mother and I because as a child Jessica would not wear ANYTHING in the color blue!) so I used various shades and patterns of blue for this card.

This was my first attempt at a Joy Fold Card and I was very pleased with how it turned out!

I selected the cute couple from the Cricut Cartridge "Sweethearts" and cut all the layers.

The scalloped oval is from the cartridge "Create A Critter" but altered with the Gyspy.

I added 2 strips of sheer dark blue ribbon to the base of the card (ribbon from my stash, purchased at Michael's Crafts) and printed the sentiments from the computer then layered themwith matching paper. All paper was also from my "stash".

I hope they like it! Let me know your thoughts too!

Have a great day!
