For those of you who've been following my blog, I've mentioned having lost my crafty Mo-Jo of late and that my camera seemed to have some "issues".  (No,  not user error this time...there was something wrong and I am happy to say it is now repaired, but unfortunately, not before I took the photos of my card and got the card into the mail to Mary Ann! So I apologize that the photos are not very good!).
Unfortunately, my Mo Jo for creating still has not returned!  Miranda told me that Mary Ann loves flowers and loves to garden, so I created a simple and easy birthday card for her.  Let's take a look:

I decided to make a Garden Glove shaped card for her!  This file was found
in the Silhouette store and I cut it out with my Cameo.
The cuff of the glove is 2 shades of blue layered upon each other (not showing up so well in the photo)
and I inked the edges of the glove in brown to give it the look of working in the garden just a little!

I cut 2 of the flower shapes that was included in the file and layered them on top of each other with foam layering squares to give a little dimension and also curled the edges up.
I lined the inside of the card with pink cardstock and I used the Silhouette sketch pens
to write my sentiment.
I was happy that it was sturdy enough to stand up on it's own!
This view give a better view of the dimension of the flowers and the two
tones in the cuff.
Mary Ann - I hope you enjoyed this special surprise hop and that you have
a wonderful birthday!  I know you will have fun celebrating with your family!
You certainly have a very sweet daughter that arranged this hop just for you!
Happy Birthday!

Next on the list is Robin - http://cutonedesignsbyrobin.blogspot.com  so please hop on over to see what a lovely birthday surprise she has for Mary Ann!
Thank you for visiting today!

Father's Day

Hello My Sweet Crafty Friends!
Another Design Team post for the Cuttin' and Stampin' Challenge blog!
Father's Day is fast approaching so this week we are helping out all you last minute crafters with some
ideas for Father's Day projects.
I told you last week my crafting Mo-Jo has taken a bit of a vacation and so this week, I am bringing you a
couple of simple and quick cards for Father's Day.
The first card I am calling "You're a Classic". Let's take a peek, but let me apologize in advance. My camera is having issues so I'm posting the best photos I could!

The  front of the card
I used my Silhouette Sketch pens to do the sentiment inside the card!
I LOVE this feature on the Cameo!

This file was found at the Silhouette Store and all I needed to do was cut it out
and layer a couple layers together, insert the Sketch Pen to do my writing and I'm done!

My next card is a Shape Card and I call it "Shirt and Tie"
(Ok, tell the truth!  How many of you are now singing the new Justin Timberlake song?
Yeah, me too!)
Again, my apologies...the colors are off and I have NO IDEA what happened to the photo below!

I really love this file from the Silhouette store and love how the tie tucks under the collar of the shirt.
It opens like a gate fold card.

I hope by my next Design Team post I have the issues with my camera fixed
and my craftiness will have returned!
I hope you'll add your Father's Day project to the Cuttin' and Stampin' Design Team challenge.
Head over to the blog HERE and let's see what you are creating!
Thanks so much for stopping by and
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the Dad's!

Graduation Card

Hello All My Crafty Friends!
Today is my day for designing for the Cuttin and Stampin Challenge blog.  This week we were asked to create Graduation cards.

My crafty MoJo decided to take a bit of a vacation and did not invite me to tag along - so I wanted to create something quick and simple.  When I found this file from the Silhoutte Store, I thought it would make a perfect card without needing a lot of "extras" and a lot of fussing.
Let's take a peek at my card, then I will give you a few details.

As you can see, all I decided to add to the cut was putting a bit of twine on
the graduation cap for the tassel and adding some liquid pearls around the swirls to
give a little more interest.

I found a label cut, also in the Silhouette Store and used that
to stamp my "Congratulations" sentiment on the card front.
This is one of the quickest cards I've made recently!
So even though I've not really been in the Crafty Mood, it is possible to
create a quick and easy card.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. I hope you'll head over to the Cuttin and Stampin
Challenge blog and link up your Graduation creation and join in the fun!
