A Very Special Birthday Card

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a card I just made for my Father In Law. He will turn 92 on Sunday and I am looking forward to celebrating with him and a few family members. I wanted to make a special card for his birthday and include at least a FEW of his favorite things (or at least I hope they are!!).

I cut the saying (Have your Cake and Eat it Too) from the Cricut cartridge "Sweet Treats" and altered it with my Gyspy. The ice cream cone and cake were also made with the same cartridge, ran through the Cuttlebug and popped up with foam tape to give some dimension to parts of it. Printed the sentiment on the inside of the card (both top and bottom portion) on the computer (including printing the top sentiment on a pre-cut Oval that I cut from the "From My Kitchen" Cricut cartridge).

The top portion of the inside of the card says "Have Pie, or Ice Cream or an nice Drink too"... While the bottom portions says " Do Whatever YOU WANT, after all, you are 92!!" .

Oh Teresa, did you make that up yourself?? Well, yes, I did! LOL! How very clever, you say?? I hope someone finds it amusing!

I used the "From My Kitchen" cartridge to also cut the martini. Last of all, used "Life is a Beach" to cut out the numbers 92, added ribbon from my stash as well as just various card stock I have. The card is 5x7.

I hope he likes the card and enjoys the little get together!

Have a wonderful weekend!

A Back to School Card

Hello! It's been a busy summer! I hope you all have enjoyed it! I have more projects and photos to post, but for now I wanted to share a card I am mailing off to my Grandson.

He starts First Grade and I wanted to send him off with some good wishes!

It is a Shaped School Bus card - made from the Cricut Doodlecharm cartridge and created on my Gyspy. It was quick and easy to put together. Hope you like it....I'd love to see your comments!
