A First Anniversary Card

It is hard to believe that a year ago my sweet niece Jessica (I call her my "first daughter" and she calls me her "other mother"!) and her husband Bobby were joined in marriage! I had to make a special card to honor the occassion.

Her wedding colors were shades of blue (which is incredibly funny to her "real" mother and I because as a child Jessica would not wear ANYTHING in the color blue!) so I used various shades and patterns of blue for this card.

This was my first attempt at a Joy Fold Card and I was very pleased with how it turned out!

I selected the cute couple from the Cricut Cartridge "Sweethearts" and cut all the layers.

The scalloped oval is from the cartridge "Create A Critter" but altered with the Gyspy.

I added 2 strips of sheer dark blue ribbon to the base of the card (ribbon from my stash, purchased at Michael's Crafts) and printed the sentiments from the computer then layered themwith matching paper. All paper was also from my "stash".

I hope they like it! Let me know your thoughts too!

Have a great day!
